At this time you will find lesser number of tourist and cheaper hotels. distance of manali from Chandigarh is 303 km and distance from Delhi is 581 km. after opening of new kiratpur- manali highway it is now very easy to reach.

Places to take a break on manali highway are available through out the route. but around mandi you will find lots of quality dhabas serving decent food. Best time to start your ride from manali is early morning as you will find less number of trucks on highway. Route to Chandigarh is via Kullu, Bhuntar airport, Aunt, Mandi, Sundar nagar, Bilaspur, Swarghat, Kiratpur, ropar and Chandigarh.
