Tourist State of Uttarakhand is a Beautiful state in Northern part of India. State is Having a human presence since prehistoric times which is supported by many archaeological proofs and evidences. State came into existence in 2000 by separation from the state of Uttar Pradesh. Uttarakhand shares its state border with Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana and International border with Tibet and Nepal. The state is divided majorly in two divisions of Kumaon and Gharhwal and most of the area of state is located on Himalayas. Ganga and Yamuna are two major rivers in the state catering the water needs.  

The state in local language is referred as the DevBhoomi or Land of God’s due to its religious history and importance. Winters are very harsh in the state and some areas get very heavy snowfall in the months of November to February. The state receives very heavy rainfall during the Monsoon period of July to September. Resulting in flash floods and landslides, So it is recommended that travelling during this period should be avoided.

Condition of state highways and other connecting roads is good except for a few landslide spots. It is very easy to hire cabs or to travel by state transport bus. Uttarakhand Transport Corporation is State transport service provider which connects most of the state by AC and Non AC buses.

Most of the big towns in Uttarakhand like Haridwar, rishikesh, Nainital, Mussoorie offer ultra luxurious and high star hotels and resorts. along with budget hotels.
