• By Air: The nearest airport is Gaggal Airport (DHM), about 10-15 km from McLeod Ganj. Taxis and buses are readily available from the airport.
• By Train: The nearest major railway station is Pathankot Railway Station (PTK), about 90 km away. From Pathankot, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to McLeod Ganj (approx. 3-4 hours).
• By Bus: Overnight Volvo/AC/ordinary buses run regularly from major northern cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Jaipur directly to McLeod Ganj or Dharamshala.

The main trek starts from Gallu Devi Temple, which is a few kilometers above McLeod Ganj/Dharamkot.

• McLeod Ganj to Gallu Devi Temple: You can take a taxi or an auto-rickshaw (shared or private) directly to the Gallu Devi Temple, which is the official starting point and check post for the trek. This saves you about 3 km of walking on the road.
• Starting on Foot: Alternatively, you can start the trek directly from Bhagsu Nag village or Dharamkot. These routes will eventually converge near the Gallu Devi Temple.

• Distance: Approximately 6 km from Gallu Devi Temple.
• Time: Takes an average of 3 to 5 hours, depending on your fitness level and breaks.
• Permit: Due to environmental regulations, you need a trekking permit (often included if booking through a local outfitter) to climb Triund and especially to camp overnight. Make sure to check the latest rules and obtain the necessary permissions.
